2016

As we head into the last day of 2016, I thought I would share some of my favourite moments from the  blog and life this year. 2016 has been a year full of ups and downs and it hasn't quite finished in the way I would have liked it to, but I am taking away some memories I will treasure forever.

I managed to blog more this year than in 2015 but still not as much as I had hoped too. I did get the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing brands this year on the blog, including SheIn, Talking Tables, Romwe, Uncommon Goods, StyleWe, Tiny Prints and Victoria Emerson! 

On a more personal level I had a jammed packed year, I got to watch a few of my close friends tie the knot, we got to celebrate on their Hen Weekend's before and there are now some babies on the way too! I also got to travel to Sorrento (I just realised that I never wrote a post on that) with Sean, watched my first peonies bloom in my garden, attended Wimbledon for the first time with my sister and the highlight of my year, getting to be bridesmaid for my best friend! 

As for what 2017 will hold? Well I know that it is going to be a year full of changes and I am going into the New Year not knowing what will happen and full of uncertainty. But I am sure that what ever does happen, good or bad it will all be part of a bigger plan and I will come out of it stronger. 

I can share the two things I do have planned that I am counting down the days until. Afternoon Tea at the Ritz in London with my best friend (it was my thank you gift for being a bridesmaid) and we are also taking a trip to Athens in February with our partners, which I cannot wait for! 

I am not sure what 2017 holds for the blog either. My little sister is moving and she takes all of my outfit pictures for me, so I will have to figure out a new plan for that. I'm hoping that I'll be able to blog at least as much as I have done this year and maybe even more if I can better manage my time. Hopefully I'll be able to work with some more wonderful brands and continue on some current partnerships.

I love bundling up in lots of layers in the winter and a good coat is always a staple on cold days. This plaid one from StyleWe is the perfect in-between option between a light jacket and a big coat! 

It's surprising warm and super soft and cozy and I love that it is a festive green plaid. You can easily layer it over chunky knits for some extra warmth and it'll go over a black dress just as easily for a winter date night!

This weekend I want to finish writing all my Christmas cards so I can send them out next week and If I get time I might even start wrapping a present or two!

Poppies always remind me of my Granddad, so when I spotted this dress on StyleWe I knew I had to add it to my collection! I loved that it had long sleeves too so I'll be able to pair it with tights and boots to wear to work during the winter, but I can also dress it up with a pair of heels and a bright red coat (I borrowed this one from my sister) for a dinner out in the evening!
