Blogging in Bed

I told you you'd be seeing more off the shoulder action on the blog this week! As much as I want Spring to arrive, I do love that I am getting to snuggle up in some cozy sweaters for now! This off the shoulder sweater is under $30 and comes in 3 colours including a beautiful blush pink which I am so tempted to add to my collection.
This one is also longer in the back which I love so it's perfect for pairing with leggings too, which makes for a very comfy outfit to curl up in bed in, while I write some blog posts!
Since I normally write my blog in the evenings after work or weekends I tend to have thrown on  something cozy like this outfit and snuggled down into my pile of pillows instead of sitting at a desk. Maybe one day I'll have my own little office to come home to blog from but for now I'm happy with my cozy comfy set up!

Room Refresh

Bike Print - Anna With Love Shop // Je t'aime Print - SS Print Shop

I always like to start re-organising things around my room every time a new year or season rolls around and adding in some new little details, but without spending too much money.
One of my favourite things is having fresh flowers beside my bed, luckily a sweet friend of mine dropped round last week with some blooms in hand! Tulips always make me think Spring is on the way.

Candles are another thing I love to have around and a new scent is always a little treat. My sister gifted me this Jo Malone one for Christmas. Their candles smell amazing but if you are on more of a budget I love picking up some candles from T.K Maxx.

Jo Malone has also become my favourite place to pick up cologne and I have a little growing collection (I normally like to pick one up at the airport and save a few dollars) and I decided to make a little display of them in my room so I feel like I'm 'shopping' my perfumes every day!
I displayed them on a little marble tray I picked up from H&M Home, and as my friend's know me so well, one of them got me the cutest personalised marble coaster for Christmas!

I have a growing collection of prints too and I love changing up my shelf above my bed and also my gallery wall. My favourite places to pick up prints are the Anna with Love Shop, SS Print Shop and Etsy, especially H Nichols Illustration.

Shop all my favourites below.

What are some of your favourite ways to refresh your home for the New Year?

June Moments

One of my favourite Jo Malone colognes, English Pear & Freesia

My Bridesmaid Bouquet

Part of my AMAZING Bridesmaid Gift (the other part is afternoon tea at the Ritz!!!!!!!)

Fresh Blooms left over from my Afternoon Tea Party

The bride got me the exact same card I got her for her Wedding Day, we've been friends far too long hehe!!

June is my favourite month for a whole handful of reasons, the start of summer, peony season, my birthday and now the month my best friend got married.  This June is a jam packed one and although it is filled with the most awesome occasions sometimes it feels like I've not had a moment to breathe so far. Just when I thought I'd have a few spare evenings to get things together before another crazy (but fun) week life decided to change that, and teach me some more life lessons.
I am making sure to take in all the small joys of life like fresh blooms filling my room (right now I have my first home grown peonies in there) and having mementos around from my favourite parts of the month!

Stacey's Smiles

Breakfast Smoothie.

Don't forget it's Mother's Day in the UK on Sunday!

I adapted this recipe to make some salted caramel blondies, I keep eating so many haha.

Working on a gallery wall... the finished project coming to the blog soon.

Planning to pack this dress for a little holiday I have booked!

So happy it's the weekend again, I am always counting down until Friday night! It's Mother's Day on Sunday here in the UK so I hope everyone has plans to spoil their Mum!
Next week I have a fun collaboration with Uncommon Goods coming to the blog!

Anna 'With Love From London'

I am so excited that the lovely Anna from the Anna with love shop has just launched her newest collection and all the gorgeous photos are from London, a city that I just cannot get enough of! The London Collection is brim full of colour and fun and there is something for everyone in this collection from the iconic red phone boxes to the pastel streets of Notting Hill. Anna's prints would make beautiful gifts for Christmas, I have gifted them in the past and I love the new print packs that come with individual envelopes for all the prints, so they are perfect for splitting and gifting to your favourite people. My personal favourites from The London Collection are 'Top of the Morning' , 'Tea & Crumpets' and 'London's Calling', while my sister adores 'My Best Mate'. Congratulations on another stunning collection Anna!

A little birdie also told me there is going to be huge sale happening at the Anna with love shop starting tomorrow :)

DIY Marble Frame

Marble is everywhere at the moment and I have had serious crush on it this year. I had been searching for a large marble frame all year and could only find smaller ones, so I decided to take matters in to my own hands and make my own! This DIY is super simple and will leave you with lots of extra marble paper to craft more things with.

You will need:

A Frame (I love the Ikea Ribba Frames, this size is only £6)
Cloth

Start by laying you frame out and drawing out the size you need, how much extra you need to leave around the edge will depend on the depth of your frame.

Remove the glass from your frame and repeat with the middle section, not forgetting to leave extra for folding round your frame.

Using scissors or a craft knife cut out you inner section. (Don't throw this away it'll be more than big enough for another project, like marble candle holders).

Lay your frame back down and cut the inner and out corners into the frame, this will make it easier to get a cleaner finish.

Now here comes the fun part, peel up the backing and carefully place you frame down in the right place. Gently smooth down the marble against the frame edge by edge, I did the outer edges first and then the inner.

When it comes to the corners to get the cleanest finish use a craft knife to cut the excess marble paper  and then you should get clean joins on the corners. Use a cloth to rub all around your frame to make sure the marble is stuck down well and to smooth out any air bubbles.

Make sure your plastic doesn't cover the clips on the frame. Place you glass back in the frame, grab your favourite print, or make one of your own and voila!
