Mother, Daughter, Sister

It was Mother's Day yesterday here in the UK and I for one am very grateful for my Mum. She has always been there for me when I need her, even if she isn't feeling well herself, she'll always put me first.
I am also very proud to have a little sister too! So I thought this year it would be nice to get my Mum & sister a gift that will always remind us all of the bond we share.

I wanted to get something a bit different so Uncommon Goods seemed like perfect place to search, I love how unusual all the jewelry pieces are. I decided to go for necklaces as they are the one piece we all wear on a regular basis and the selection (found here) left my stuck for choice.

I ended up going with these stunning handcrafted 'My Heart Within Yours' necklaces. They are a beautiful handmade lace dipped in gold and silver and I love how every single one is slightly different and unique. You can find the earrings to match here.

If you are looking for a piece of jewelry with something a little bit different you will be spoilt for choice. Not only will you find unique pieces like these necklaces you will also find many pieces made from up-cycled or recycled materials, how fun! Make sure to read about the maker of each piece too, they have the most wonderful stories to share.  Check out more unusual jewelry here.

If you live in the UK you've missed your chance to shop for your Mother's Day gifts but luckily most countries celebrate in May and Uncommon Goods have fast shipping all over the world, so you still have time to find endless gifts for you Mum here

Thank You to Uncommon Goods for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

She Did It!

I'm currently thinking of the scene in legally Blonde where Elle Woods is giving her speech at graduation and squeals 'We Did It'.

For the past few years my sister has been studying towards her degree in Physiotherapy and last week we got to celebrate all her hard work and achievements with her at her Graduation. In the past three years I have made many visits to her on campus, some just to say hello and spend time with her, other times for a place to stay for things like shopping trips, musicals and concerts. The time has flown by and I can't believe her time at University has come to an end. Her Graduation was the perfect way to end this chapter of her life and the day was full of celebrations and unforgettable moments(I had to try the cap and gown on, it's probably the only chance I  will get to wear them). I am such a proud big sister, she has worked so hard to get to this point and I wish her all the luck for her future and I can't wait to see her career blossom and grow.

Blog Break

Things will be just a little bit quiet on the blog for a the next week! I'm spending some time with my sister in London and then I'm heading to Paris with Susie! I haven't been in to the city of Paris for almost 11 years and I have been counting down the days since we booked the tickets! I hoping the sun stays out for us! I will mainly be staying away from the Internet but I'm sure I'll post some snaps on my Twitter (follow me here) and on Instagram (Spark1988). Have a wonderful week and I will see you all soon!

Do You Know The Muffin Man???

After some lunch at Haroods I stopped by the hair salon where my friend works in Knightsbridge to deliver her a much needed Lola's red velvet cupcake, before my sister and I headed off to Drury Lane to catch a matinee showing of Shrek. It had been on my list of shows to go and see and when my sister messaged me saying that it was ending at the end of February we decided to grab some tickets! The Theatre Royal Drury Lane is gorgeous inside, I took a couple of sneaky pictures before the show started! I also made sure to pick up a very appropriate snack for the interval.

Has anyone seen any shows recently, what would you recommend??

The Disney Cafe by Harrods

I had a train ticket to London to use up by the end of the month and it's not like I need an excuse to make a visit! I'd promised my sister I would take her to the Disney Cafe at Harrods before it closes in March so this seemed like the perfect opportunity! After a trip to King's Road to find Brandy Melville and a stroll down Sloane Street we headed for some lunch.

My favourite part of the Cafe was the Big Ben clock face in the middle of the room! There is plenty to keep the children occupied, with activity sheets on the tables and Disney films being played on screens around the Cafe and did I mentioned they get to leave with a pair of Mickey/Minnie ears! As always there service is to Harrods high standards and it is worth a visit if you are a Disney lover!
