Floral Face Masks

I love having a little pampering session one evening during the week and treating my face to some extra TLC. My skin has been all over the place lately probably due to stress, hormones and the change in seasons. I love trying out new face masks and as my skin needs a little something different as the weather changes a new season is a good excuse to pick up some new beauty goodies. As everywhere comes in bloom in Spring I decided why not fill my skincare routine full of florals too?! I've linked all my favourites below.

Room Refresh

Bike Print - Anna With Love Shop // Je t'aime Print - SS Print Shop

I always like to start re-organising things around my room every time a new year or season rolls around and adding in some new little details, but without spending too much money.
One of my favourite things is having fresh flowers beside my bed, luckily a sweet friend of mine dropped round last week with some blooms in hand! Tulips always make me think Spring is on the way.

Candles are another thing I love to have around and a new scent is always a little treat. My sister gifted me this Jo Malone one for Christmas. Their candles smell amazing but if you are on more of a budget I love picking up some candles from T.K Maxx.

Jo Malone has also become my favourite place to pick up cologne and I have a little growing collection (I normally like to pick one up at the airport and save a few dollars) and I decided to make a little display of them in my room so I feel like I'm 'shopping' my perfumes every day!
I displayed them on a little marble tray I picked up from H&M Home, and as my friend's know me so well, one of them got me the cutest personalised marble coaster for Christmas!

I have a growing collection of prints too and I love changing up my shelf above my bed and also my gallery wall. My favourite places to pick up prints are the Anna with Love Shop, SS Print Shop and Etsy, especially H Nichols Illustration

Face Mask Beauty

Following on from my post sharing my latest daily skin care routine, I thought It would be good to try out some new masks too. I love nothing more than having a relaxing evening at home, running a hot bubble bath, lighting some candles and popping on a face mask. I try and use a mask at least once a week, my current ones have almost run out so I thought I would try some new ones this year! I'm not sure which one of these masks I am most excited to try, I've heard good things about them all. If you have any recommendations for masks I should try please leave them in the comments below!

First Aid Beauty

After all the Christmas indulgence and the cold windy weather we've had this past month my poor skin has not been looking too great. Luckily I was gifted this First Aid Beauty set for Christmas and my skin feels like it has been rescued! I have used the Face Cleanser in the past and it made my skin so soft, so I had high hopes trying some of the other First Aid Beauty products and they haven't disappointed. The Ultra Repair Cream has sorted out the dry patches I had on my face from walking in the harsh winds and the Eye Duty Triple Remedy is the first eye cream I have used that I actually feel has made a noticeable different to my dark circles in a short amount of time!
I'd love to try some more products from this line, does anyone have any recommendations?

Kate Somerville Blemish Banisher Kit Review

During one of Sephora's Friends & Family Sales I decided to pick up the Kate Somerville Blemish Banister Kit. I have used the  original ExfoliKate in the past and would buy it again in a heartbeat. These travel size kits are a great way to try a new range of products, especially when the full size ones have bigger price tags. As always the moisturiser in these kits is the first thing to be used up and the cleanser lasted around three months.

Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturizer - This moisturiser was super lightweight and felt beautiful on my skin and worked well with my make up. However I didn't find that it kept my skin hydrated all day, I started using this when the weather was still pretty cold and harsh and with walking to and from work each day it just wasn't enough hydration for my skin. I think it would work better for me in the warmer months, but with the price tag I don't think I would repurchase this.

Kate Somerville Detox Daily Cleanser - I really liked this cleanser, it had a nice scent to it and although it could be a little drying I found it fine to use twice a day. It left my skin feeling fresh and soft and I had a lot less breakouts whilst I was using this.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Acne - These little tubes go along way. I still have plenty of this left and I normally use it twice a week if I remember. This treatment feels slightly kinder to my skin than the original ExfoliKate, but both leave my skin feeler extra smooth and looking clearer instantly and if I had any breakouts on the way this definitely helps to stop it in tracks. It's a bit a splurge product with the price tag but I would buy this again during a sale, as for the original or the acne version, I would probably go for the original for my skin personally.

Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment - This overnight treatment is very similar to the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion which I have used in the past but is lightly more expensive  ($17 vs $24).  They both work in the same way and both help dry up nasty spots within a couple of days. I don't find the smell that nasty but I know some people will find it overpowering. I found the EradiKate seemed to work slightly quicker for me but was also slightly more drying on my skin. For me it is a coin toss on which one I would repurchase but I would keep bottle of either in my bathroom at all times because they really do help clear up breakouts super quickly.

Kate Somerville's products aren't in my normal price range but I would love to try more products from her line because I do think that they actually work and I would happily spend a little extra on those treatment products as I know they work for my skin now.

My Little Dream Box Review

It's always a nice surprise to come home and find a 'My Little Box' waiting for me on my doorstep! April's theme is "My Little Dream Box' and let me tell you this box was definitely dreamy! The box is just as cute as the contents inside.

This month's box contained:

Necklace, “Bon Etoile” by Delphine Pariente
RRP £20 on mylittlecorner.fr
Rotating Stamp & Ink by My Little Box
RRP £8 on mylittlecorner.fr
Repairing Hair Mask by My Little Beauty
RRP £7 for 100ml on mylittlecorner.fr
Solid Perfume by Sabe Masson
RRP £15 per stick on sabemasson.com
Lip Balm Loved by Lou Lesage
RRP £8 on mylittlecorner.com

As well as the the usual My Little World magazine and this month's also came with the cutest little cloud shaped print with a quote from Walt Disney, which I already have on my pin board!  The rotating stamp was my favourite item in this month's box, the perfume stick was a close second with it's exotic smell and handbag handy size.

All the goods in this month's box total up to £58, and the box costs just £14.95 including postage each month, so it is more than worth the price tag, plus I still haven't come across another subscription box that has packaging quite like My Little Box.

Beauty Loves

Benefit Roller Lash - Available in March but pick up a free sample with this month's Elle UK.

A new year always inspires me to try new things and these are the latest beauty products I have been loving. I'm always happy to see Benefit giving away freebies with magazines (this is how I fell in love with Benetint) and this month you can get a sample of their new mascara Roller Lash before it hits stores in March, when you pick up a copy of Elle UK. I've been all about pale nails lately and Essie Tea & Crumpets has been on repeat for the past few weeks, I love the subtle shimmer to it.
Santa was good to me this year and left some new fragrances for me to wear in my stocking. I have been layering the Jo Malone Nutmeg & Ginger with some of my more summery scents to make them more wintry and the Burberry Body has been my go to on cold days, it smells so warming.
I am always trying to use products that are good for my skin so I am excited to try the OSEA line which is vegan and free from all those nasty toxins, you wouldn't eat those nasties so why would you want to put them on your skin either?!

Skincare Favourites

I love trying out new skincare products so I thought I would share some of my favourite discoveries this year with you all! One Love Organics has become my favourite skincare line, my Easy Does It Cleanser ran out a few weeks ago and I'm already noticing the difference in my skin since I switched to a different cleanser, and not in a good way, I need to get another bottle ASAP. When my face is breaking out I rely on Exfolikate and Tata Harper's resurfacing mask to help clear it up quickly and without drying out my skin. After catching the sun a little bit too much in Crete, Pacifica's body butter keeps the rest of my skin soft and moisturised and it smells of summer vacations! My lips suffer all year round with being dry but this Kiehl's lip balm has been a miracle worker and keeps my lips flake free! Do you have any favourite skincare products you swear by?

Something New - Topshop Lips in Nevada

I've been on the hunt for a peachy nude lipstick for the summer and this one from Topshop in the colour Nevada seemed to fit the bill perfectly! I haven't tried any of the Topshop make-up before but I have always noticed the packaging, the stripes on this tube are so cute! Some of the reviews say that this lipstick is quite drying, so lip balm underneath is a must!
