The British Grand Prix 2013

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I spent the weekend with my Dad on our Father/Daughter trip at the British Grand Prix and the English weather actually surprised us for a change and it was actually warm and sunny, unlike last year when I we got a little bit wet. The race was packed full of action with tyres bursting all over the place and the Red Arrows were amazing, to quote the Americans sat behind me, 'That was some Top Gun s**t right there'!

Stacey's Smiles

This month has been the quickest month by far this year! Maybe it's because been I've been so busy at work but it's gone by in a blur. I'm taking a couple of days off work to enjoy a 4 day weekend to finish off the month and celebrate my birthday! This year my Birthday has coincided with the British Grand Prix so I am spending the weekend there with my Dad

Father's Day Racing Track Cupcakes

In case anyone has forgotten it's Father's Day on Sunday and these cupcakes would be perfect for any Dad's that like Formula One or any type of racing (just adjust the cars)! Whilst plastic cars would be much easier my sister and I moulded these ones from fondant icing just like the track toppers. I'm not gonna lie they were very time consuming! You can use any type of cupcake recipe you like but my sister baked these Chocolate Guinness ones from The Hummingbird Bakery's Cake Days, they seem like a perfect Dad cake!
You can have as much fun laying out your race track as you like, as it was my Dad's birthday at the weekend we set them out in his age (I'm sure he'll forgive me for sharing it with you all).

British Grand Prix Weekend

This is the third year in a row I have gone away with my Dad for the weekend to the British Grand Prix! It's become our father/daughter trip. Although like a typical British summer it poured with rain for qualifying on Saturday we managed to stay warm and mainly dry! I was so glad we decide to go for grandstand seats this year! I avoided most of the mud except for one little bit and my shoes are now in need of a wash! The weather was much dryer on Sunday and I even walked past Jake Humphrey who was busy chatting away on his phone!
