Perfect Summer Days!

Does it really have to be September next week already? We've had some lovely summer days this week and I was lucky enough to have one of them off from work to celebrate someone special's birthday! I'll be making the most of the last few days of August before the nights start drawing in again! Happy Weekend!!

Utility Vest

I've been keeping my weekend style super simple lately, I never know what the weather is going to do one minute it's sweltering hot, the next its pouring with rain! I love wearing olive green in the Fall and since it's not too long until the Autumn arrives I decided to start adding some green layers into my summer wardrobe! This Gap dress is still on sale and has been a staple this summer and as it's a slightly thicker knit it will easily transition into the cooler Fall temperatures.

DIY Marble Coasters

I love anything marbled, and I think some marble accessories are the perfect accent piece in the home! These DIY marble coasters can take under 10 minutes and they look far more expensive than they cost to make!

You Will Need:

Coasters - I found some white wooden ones but you could always paint some plain wooden ones

Paint (optional see above) - I would recommend Annie Sloan Chalk Paint for minimal prep time.

Craft Knife or Scissors

Start by painting your coasters if you need/want to and and then it is as easy as drawing around your coaster and cutting out the paper with scissors or using a craft knife to cut straight around the coaster. Then peel off the backing paper and carefully stick onto the coasters, making sure to smooth out any air bubbles as you go!
I found these coasters on sale so these totalled less than £3 to make! They are perfect on a wooden coffee table, and I'm using them as bases for some of my candles too!
You'll have plenty of marble paper left to use up, you could marble a frame like I did here, use it to line drawers or even to make a marble top effect table!
Have you used marble paper for any DIY projects? I'd love to hear all your ideas in the comments!

Rose Garden

Hello again! I had been doing so well at sticking to my posting every other week but yet again time has just slipped away and now we are over half way through August ekkk! But I've managed to write a few little posts for this week and I'm working on a fun collaboration I can't wait to share with you all too!
One of my beautiful friends got married last week and I had been saving this floral Kate Spade number for the occasion! I snapped up these sandals on sale (ummm hello gold heel, could you be more perfect for me?!) that paired perfectly with my vintage Chanel! I kept the rest iof the look pretty simple and just added a fun bright lipstick that matched my nails! I love love love weddings! I have one more next month that I can't wait for!
