Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween

Halloween is almost over here but for anyone who still has time to celebrate it, I hope that your Halloween is FANG-tastically spooky!!!

I hope all of you East Coast US girls are all safe and doing ok! Thinking of you all xoxo

Chocolate Mice

Sugar mice are one of my favourite treats to find in my stocking at Christmas time. Last year my mum purchased these moulds, but we are yet to perfect making sugar mice in them! So instead we used them to make chocolate mice (almost 100) for my Mum's Fall ploughman's event at work recently and I thought they'd be perfect for Halloween treats, so I made a batch to use for myself!

You will need:

*Mice Moulds
*Chocolate
*Something for tails, e.g. string, liquorice laces

And then you just cut some tails and lay them in the mould, melt the chocolate and pour it and and let the mice set in the fridge over night and turn them out of the moulds in the morning.

Halloween Nails - Salon Effects

I've been wanting to try the Sally Hansen Salon Effects since they were released, but they were so expensive to get hold of in the UK! So when I found some in TK Maxx recently for just £2.99 a pack I scooped them up! Ghoulie Girl was the perfect pack to try out just in time for Halloween next week. These are by far the easiest nail strips I have ever tried but I still found them fiddly, so whilst the aren't perfectly applied to my nails, they still look good and this morning when I went out to run some errands everyone commented on them!

A New Jacket

I spotted this jacket in Primark over the summer and whilst it was a steal at £25, it was more than I like to pay for a piece from Primark, so when I found it on sale for £10 and there was one left in my size I snapped it up! It's perfect for making a basic jeans and tee outfit look a little more dressy!

Cozy Chair Days

Sometimes it's just nice to do nothing for the day and curl up with a good book or magazine, which is exactly what I did last Monday! I even drank my water out of a mug, there's just something about drinking out of a mug I find comforting when the weathers not that nice outside!

Stacey's Smiles

Now the mornings are starting to get darker, I'm finding it increasingly harder to get out of bed and I'm trying to stay under the sheets for as long as I can! I'm trying to be organised this year and I did some more holiday shopping last weekend and I'm about 70% done already! Plus I went with my mum so she picked up a few things I found to put under the Christmas tree for me!

TK Maxx find, although I can't have them until Christmas!

A DIY on the blog next week.

Making Trick or Treat Bags!

I unfortunately have work tomorrow, but how is everyone else spending their weekend??

Chunky Knit

Boots & sweaters, my favourite combination! I picked up this sweater on sale in H&M for just £10 in the summer and I couldn't wait to pull it out once Fall arrived. I love the subtle shimmer from the gold thread in the sleeves and neck detail. We also finally got Starbucks pumpkin spiced lattes in the UK and I couldn't way to get my hands on one when it started raining on a recent shopping trip. I hope Starbucks decide to keep it because its my new favourite fall drink.

Red Accents

The sun may have been shining bright but it was chilly enough for me to pull out one of my knitted hats. I have a few too many scarves and was having a hard time picking one out, so instead I just grabbed the one that matched my nails. I love that fall is the perfect season for using accessorises to layer up and keep warm.

Topshop Vs Matalan Studded Slippers

I posted before about these Topshop slippers being a great look for less of these Christian Louboutin shoes. But if the £28 price tag is still about too expensive for you then I've found an even cheaper alternative.

These studded slippers from Matalan retail for just £10. They're not quite as studded as the Topshop version, but at that price they're a steal. They're sold out online now but they're still available in stores. I picked up a pair a few weeks ago to keep in my locker at work since they're so comfy to throw when I'm on my feet all day.

Stacey's Smiles

Happy Saturday everyone!! I'm currently sitting in my PJ's curled up on the sofa catching up on the F1 Korean qualifying. I've made a To Do list for this weekend, and unlike most of my To Do lists this one I actually want to do since it's filled with things such as making Halloween goodie bags to send to friends, a new DIY and listing things from my recent closet clean out on eBay!

It's always a hard choice which one to go for!

Free L'Occitane hand cream with November's Marie Claire.

Trying Candy Corn for the very first time!

Black & Gold Nails.

Enjoying a Harrods gingerbread man on a Saturday morning.

What has everyone else got planned for this weekend?

Recent Purchases

Since I started doing a major wardrobe clean out and realised just how many clothes I have, I've been more aware of what I've been spending money on and I'm trying not to buy any new clothes for a month, so far I've gone two weeks without making a clothing purchase. Instead I've been buying a few beauty(and food)treats instead.

I'm not a huge beauty and make up fan but I'm slowly trying new products out.

I've used Lush bath products for years, but I've never tried their skincare so I picked up a mask and scrub to try.

I couldn't go to London without going back with a little box from Laduree.

These delicate thin bands were calling my name on a stall at Spitalfields Market, they're only gold plated so were very reasonable and are perfect for stacking with my other rings.

I was so excited to find Essie polishes in TK Maxx, I've never seen them before and even better, I managed to get 3 bottles for just £5 in the clearance section, they had quite a few packs of 3 and most were priced at £10. I was even more excited when I saw the Sally Hansen Salon Effects because they have never been released in the UK that I know of. I picked up some fun ones for Halloween.

Navy & Florals

All my sweaters have come out of hibernation now and are taking main stage in my wardrobe. I'm not ready to put all my spring/summer pieces away quite yet so I'm finding ways to incorporate them into my fall wardrobe, like pairing these floral trousers from Zara's spring line with a chunky knit sweater.
