Free People Arrives In The UK

I was so excited to receive an email today to say that the UK Free People site was now open! Us UK girls can now enjoy free returns in the UK and no pesky customs or duty fees! YAY! I've been a fan of Free People for quite a few years now and mainly had to purchase from the US although Urban Outfitters sometimes had some Free People items in their stores!

Quite a few months back I participated in an online survey which made me think Free People were planning on having a UK based site and after some research and finding some job opportunities being advertised online I was certain and I couldn't have been more excited!

Some pieces are priced higher than the US site whilst others work out to be the same but now we no longer have to pay any extra fees the prices seem to be a lot better and they will arrive on our doorsteps a lot faster!

And if that wasn't enough until the end of November you can enjoy Free Shipping on all orders and be sure to sign up for emails because I received a code for 15% off my first order!

Here are some of my picks for winter!

Now I've just got my fingers crossed we'll get some Free People stores in the UK! Is anyone else a Free People fan??

Stacey's Smiles :)

We are well into January now and after all the excitement of Christmas and New Year, that past couple of weeks just seemed to be filled with work and well not a lot else! I've been filling my evenings and part of my weekends watching Grey's Anatomy! I've seen them all before but I started back at the beginning and I'm up to season 3 at the moment! Season 8 is on a break here now, I can't wait for it to start again!

I've been lusting after these Aldo boots for probably a year or so and decided to finally bite the bullet and purchase them when they went on sale, I'm glad I waited until this week but I got an extra £14 off them!

Aldo Brendal Boots on sale for £69.99

I placed an order for some of the Home range from H&M when it went on sale (post to come soon) but I also grabbed this top on sale for workouts! When it arrived I loved the little yoga posture detail!

My New Years Resolutions are going OK so far, but this Sunday I plan to start tackling all of this and actually start doing the overhaul I planned.

Stacey's Smiles :)

The first smiles of January although we are already half way through the month, crazy right! 5 weeks today one of my closest friends from high school will be walking down the aisle! I am so excited I have no idea what to wear yet though!

I've been collecting recipes from magazines and blogs from a while now and I finally got around to sticking them all in a book! I'd had 3 recipes in here for a while and I needed to add to them from all the pages I had bookmarked on my computer! If you've got any favourite recipes please feel free to share them!

I loved this outfit Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore back in December, you can't get away with wearing this in winter here, so I'm looking forward to spring so I can recreate her look! The Budget Babe found some great alternatives for her outfit here.

Last Saturday it was so bright I snapped this picture from the car as we were driving home!

I'm also excited that Brandy Melville launched their online store today! I fell in love with their collection when I visited one of the stores in Rome last summer! They've just made it a lot easier for me to spend money!

New Year Resolutions

I'm not really one for making New Year resolutions, I don't ever make any worth while or any I can stick too! I did tweet a few of the things I'd like to do this year though and I made them things that should *fingers crossed* be easy to stick to!

1. Give Blood - I think it's amazing thing to do and I have yet to donate blood, I will admit it's because I'm slightly scared , I don't really want someone sticking a needle in my arm. But when it can help save someones life, I think enduring  a few minutes of being uncomfortable is something I can do.

2. Eat More Healthily & Get Fit - Really I just need to snack less as work! I never got a chance to eat between meals at my old job but at this one we snack a lot and I have such a sweet tooth it's hard for me to resist when someone brings cake in! I go spinning once a week, but I'd like to try and do some yoga classes again this year, it's been far too long since I went to one!

3. Write More Letters - It might seem a strange resolutions but I love receiving letters, we live in a world of technology where I can sit in a pub in a small town in the east of the UK and I can video chat with my friend thousands of miles away in a bathroom in Japan and there is no longer that 10 second delay where you have to wait to hear a reply before you speak again! With my Facebook & twitter and my email at my disposal i am connected to the world 24/7. Sometimes I think it's good to communicate in a good old fashioned way, so I plan to write more letters to my friends who are lucky enough to be all over the world!

4. Buy Less, Save More - I want to overhaul my whole closet this year! I have no hangers left and it's so hard to find things to wear when I can't easily see it all! I'm not planning to buy anymore clothing until I've sorted everything out, and If I do buy something I must get rid of an old item in it's place! I just purchased a new sweater from H&M the other day so I got rid of an old similar sweater that I don't wear too much anymore! I figure that if I restrict my self on buying then I'll be saving more! I already have a standing order set up so that as soon as I get paid some of my wages go straight into a savings account that I can't easily access which stops me from borrowing money from it!! I've always been good at saving but this year I want to save even more so I can spend it on trips away and nicer items I usually won't bother to save for!

What are all your New Year Resolutions and how do you plan on keeping to them?

Sale Finds

When I was little I used to be so excited for the January Sales to start, I'd take all my Christmas money with me and normally spend it all in one go! Now I just find sale shopping stressful. The shops start the sales so early and a lot of stuff is really old stuff they haven't got rid of in past years and the queues are just crazy, with everyone hunting for the great deals and returning all their unwanted Christmas presents! My sister wanted to go and get some things she'd had her eye on so I tagged along to return something and pop into a few shops! I really wasn't in the mood to shop, but I did just grab a few things in Primark!

I'd seen these boots before and I could see in the window there was one odd pair hanging, I went in and they were my size and reduced to just £10! They've been rather attached to my feet since then!

I grabbed these things on the way past to the till, 4 items for £5 not bad!

This wasn't on sale but caught my eye and was still a bargain at £14!

I also picked up a sweater in Zara but it's going back, it didn't look so good when I tried it on! Other than that I picked up a few things on sale in Boots, a few tops for work from New Look and I got a few pieces for my future home on sale from a local shop, The Marmalade Tree! I have no plans to buy a home anytime soon but I do have plans on how I want it decorated, so I've been buying a few things when I see them and fall in love!
