Outfit Of The Day: A Good, Good Friday

Happy Good Friday!!!

Today is Earth Day, but it is also Good Friday, so I started my day with some yummy Hot Cross Buns!! Well after I'd been for a morning run! It wasn't a very long run and running is not something I'm any good at, but no one believed I'd get up and go for a run with my sister before breakfast, so I had to prove them wrong! I wish I was as excited about having a 4 day weekend as everyone else, but I have to work tomorrow so I'm not having a a long weekend :( But I did have today off work and got to spend it in the beautiful sunshine! Today is one of those days we always get in April which easily rivals the heat at the height of summer, so I am very grateful I was able to make the most of it!

I spent the day wondering around in the sun with my mum and sister and stopping in a few stores to help my sister pick out some things for her holiday in Spain next month, and you know that meant I was tempted by a few things too! We ended he day by going to see Beastly! A modern day take on Beauty and the Beast, that could never live up to the original fairytale story, but was a cute watch, and I'm always a fan of Fairytale stories as I dream of having a Happily Ever After one day!

I found these £2 sunglasses while I was out today and had to snap them up as they matched my outfit and you can never have too many pairs of aviators! Sorry for them being on the end of my nose, it picked the color up better than when they were on my face properly!

Google Earth Day

I always love seeing the Google logo every time I open up a new web page and today's is one of my favourites! If you haven't seen it already you need to head over there now! It's to celebrate Earth Day and you need to move your cursor over all the  little animals to see them move!

Holiday Outfit Inspiration

While checking out H&M last weekend I also stopped in a few other stores to pick up some new items for the summer and my upcoming holiday (it's just 27 days away now!!!!). While taking some photos to share I decided to put some outfits together and start getting some inspiration!

I used some of the new pieces to create this outfit which I will be packing in my suitcase! The best thing about this outfit is it cost £21.90 in total. The sandals and necklace I will pair with lots of outfits this summer ( I actually got the sandals the weekend before on offer and have worn them already here)! I couldn't find this necklace in the store so I had a member of staff get the one off the mannequin for me!

New Look Sandals

 I couldn't pass up on these dresses at Primark for only £5, so I grabbed one in this pink floral print too! It really reminded me of the Topshop Photographic Dress. I have a new found love for hats and picked this one up in New Look available here.

I paired my new shorts from the H&M Conscious Collection with a pink tank I also picked up up in H&M! I wanted to get a pink jacket to go with the shorts but they didn't have the one I wanted in store, so my hunt continues! The necklace was a gift from my dad from when he went to Indonesia.

You might remember this Forever 21 top from my post here, well I don't think I'm brave enough to wear it as a dress but I paired it with these white denim shorts I've had for years and it'll be perfect for walking around a city on a hot day! It's still available online here for $19.80. I love the embroidered detail around the hem!

H&M Conscious Collection Review

I went over to H&M yesterday to check out the Conscious Collection and I had planned to try loads of pieces on but I ended up with very little time and there was a big queue for the changing rooms! They didn't have many small sizes in a lot of the pieces either, so I'm hoping they will restock and I can go back when I have more time!

I grabbed this dress in a bigger size to try on and it was beautiful but absolutely drowned me, I wanna go back and find a small size to try on and see if it still looks like a tent or not!

This dress was gorgeous in person but I don't think it's for me, it was rather low cut in the front and I'm not someone who can go without a bra! Anyone that can should definitely go and try this dress it would be perfect for any special occasions you might have coming up this summer.

They had quite a few of the tops and I love the detail cut out on them but again they had no smaller sizes so I couldn't really give an opinion on how they fit.

I love this long skirt, but again no small sizes :(  I was so disappointed yesterday.

They also had another beautiful white dress which I can't find a picture of online that I want to find in a smaller size as well! It was lovely and light weight and for a white dress not see through!

I did however walk away with one piece from the collection, and it was the piece I wanted the most!

These white eyelet shorts! I had to size up one size but it was the smallest pair they had and the very last pair in that size too and since they are meant to be a loose fitting short I can work this size!

Overall I loved the collection, and thought the pieces were well made and reasonably priced, it's just a shame I couldn't try on most of the collection and give some better reviews! Fingers crossed when I go back next time they might have restocked!
