Outfit Of The Day: The Cat's Out Of The Bag

I love cats, I have done ever since I was a tiny little girl. My dad would never let me have one, but after begging for a long long time and saving up all my pocket money he broke down and let me get one just before my 8th birthday. I went to chose one and there was just one little tabby kitten, the runt of the little and I fell in love! The lady didn't want me to have her because she had a poorly eye and was so small and she was worried that she wasn't too well, but I got my way and this beauty came home with me and the nice lady even let me have her for free so I got to spend my money I'd saved on a pink collar and toys for her! I named her Tabitha (only to find out a few later at the vets it was actually a boy, but I wouldn't change her name). She was the best thing I have saved up for and always be. Unfortunately this past July she passed away at the age of 14. I miss her everyday :( I miss coming home and having her jump up to see me, I miss the warmth of her cuddled up on my stomach at night,  I miss the sound of her little bell ringing as she walked along, I miss everything about her! Recently I've been thinking of getting another kitten, but no one will ever be able to replace my Tabitha <3

Kim Kardashian in Lanvin for H&M

I just saw these pictures online of Kim Kardashian leaving the MTV Studios last night and she is rocking the gorgeous purple Lanvin H&M dress I was lusting after here! I never managed to get my hands on one and I checked the H&M site daily for a return in my size :(

Outfit Of The Day: Is It A Dress?... Today It's Not

I decided to wear my One Teaspoon dress seen here as a cardigan today as it's still not warm enough to wear it as a dress! I love pieces that are versatile and I'm gonna be able to wear this all year round! I also dug out these Sam Edelman flats that I haven't worn in a long time!

Dress Your Gingerbread

My Sunday starting off with a lazy breakfast and then my mum came home and we decided to go and check out the new Hobbycraft that opened up recently in the nearby city! We picked up my best friend on the way and spent ages browsing around all the wonderful crafting materials, equipment, books, you name it they had it, it was amazing! My mum found this book and I fell in love! I love gingerbread men (you may have noticed in my recent post that the baking stuff my mum got me had a gingerbread men theme to it). This book is full of ideas and tips on how to 'dress your gingerbread' from anything from a bumble bee, to a pirate, to a snowman. I had to have it and my mum had a coupon and she needed to spend a bit more so this book came home with us!

Dress Your Gingerbread by Joanna Farrow

Obviously me and Susie had to try out some ideas straight away! I should start off by saying that I'm not artistic in any way and things like this always result in a huge mess in my kitchen. Luckily my mum is awesome at decorating cakes and was on hand to help out!  i don't think i did bad for my first attempt, although they weren't amazing! We used butter icing to decorate cows and cats! next time I wanna try making some with fondant icing, I think I'll have more luck with that!

I think Susie is definitely better at decorating than me! These are her gingerbread!

If you love making gingerbread men you should pick up this book, it'll provide hours of fun and who wants a plain gingerbread man when you can have one all dressed up!
