DIY: Vintage Teacup Candle
Do you have a girlfriend who loves all things vintage, or an Aunt who loves candles? This super easy DIY is the perfect homemade gift to give for any occasion. Once they have burned the candle they will have a sweet little teacup to keep too, so pick one that suits their personality. I made this one for my sister who loves roses so this cup and saucer were perfect for making a honey, vanilla and rose candle!
You will need:
- vintage teacup
- wick and clip
- wax (I used local beeswax, it smells amazing)
-essential oil (optional)
Fix wick to the bottom of the teacup.
Gently heat the wax over a pan of hot water to melt it.
If you want to add some essential oils now is the time.
Hold your wick straight when pouring in the wax (this will make are your candle burns evenly) and leave the candle to completely set before trimming the wick down.
And there you have it, your pretty vintage teacup candle is ready to burn! If you are giving it to a friend as a gift they look super sweet tied up with some lace ribbon!

Autumn Beginnings
{via}
It is officially Autumn, Hooray!
I'm already enjoying pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks.
I made this cute print to display for the Fall.
Apple Picking is on the agenda for the weekend.
Which means I will be baking the perfect apple pie.
It's also time to bring out some plaid shirts again!
What are your favourite things about Autumn?

Autumn Rainbow
I just adore the colours of Autumn, all the burnt oranges and neutral earth tones. They definitely influence my dressing this time of year. I'm still trying to sneak in wearing my sandals a few more times before they get packed away again though. It wasn't until I uploaded these photos that I noticed the beautiful rainbow my camera captured, nature is rather magical, don't you think?.

ONE THOUSAND
It's hard for me to believe this is my one thousandth post on my little blog! I started this blog just over four years ago and it has been my place to escape to after work and share all the things I love. My outfit posts have changed a lot since I started posting, they are no longer taken in the mirror (and my room is no longer as messy). I love nothing more than sharing fun DIY's (like this sequin hanger) and my favourite recipes (the perfect apple pie). There's always plenty of peonies around the blog and sometimes some fast cars too. I've had the chance to work with some wonderful brands like Mindy Mae's Market & Kohl's. I've shared my travels from Rome to Paris to Crete and countless visits to London. I've celebrated my baby sister graduating and winning the most amazing shoes ever. However the thing I have loved most about blogging is all the friends I have made, this year I even had the opportunity to meet up with the talented Holly and beautiful Pamela. I can't thank you all enough for stopping by, the sweet comments you leave always put a smile on my face.
