Outfit Of The Day: Oh Deer
I felt like wearing something rather festive again on Monday morning! This cute little Topshop sweater gets a lot of wear and the the lace is still my favourite part! I spent the day wrapping all the presents I've already purchased and getting all my overseas posting ready so I can get it early so it arrives on time! Oh and I may just have fitted in watching 3 Christmas movies too!
The Place Where We Get Crafty
I though i\d share with you some pictures of our conservatory turned craft room! When I went to Rome back in May my mum had a week off and decided to decorate! These are just a few pictures of one corner! The rest is a bit messy covered in our crafting things at the moment since the craft fair is on Thursday!
My mum painted the table (which now has a sewing machine on it) and added the little knobs, and also made the little craft sign having on the shelving!
We also painted and decorated these old fruit crates! Which are now home to some of our supplies!
My mum added a thin wooden pole under the shelves to hold these little buckets, that house ribbons, chains and buttons!

Although I don't have pictures right now of the rest of the room, my mum purchased plenty of other things like green rugs, throws and tablecloths to finish the rest of the room off! The only bad thing about it is that it gets super cold in the winter!

Recent Loves: Knee High Socks
I've recently been purchasing lots of knee high socks! I've been picking them up for super cheap in places like Primark and New Look is having a great deal with 3 pairs for £4 at the moment! While I love the basic colours like black and grey I also like to pick up some of the more unusual colours and one with little details like bows at the top, they add a nice twist to an outfit!

Outfit Of The Day: Feeling Festive
This weekend last year when I woke up we had a covering of snow on the ground! There's no snow in sight yet this year, but I still wanted to feel all wintry so I grabbed my festive snowflake cardigan to wrap up in and go and see some beautifully decorated Christmas trees in a local church! After the trees and the Christmas lights being switched on in the town, I feel Christmas is upon us and tomorrow I'm planning to put on a Christmas film and start wrapping some of the gifts I've already brought!

Stacey's Smiles
December is just around the corner, which means were edging ever closer to 2012. 2011 seems to have been the fastest year of my life! Everytime the weekend comes around I feel like i'm saying the same thing where has time gone?!
I'm about to have my last week of holiday from work this year and I have nothing planned, which is so unusual! Well I shouldn't say nothing because I do have a dentist appointment, and I'm doing a craft stall with my mum on Thursday! We've got lots to do this weekend to finish everything we've been making!
The Christmas lights were turned on in our town last night and I went to go and see them and to look around all the stalls they have and I came back with a few goodies! One of my high school friends made the fudge and the wreath!
And the stall I got these little decorations form is there every year and I always come home with something!
My advent calendar is filled and ready for December 1st! It's looks a little lonely without my sister's hanging next to it!
I also enjoyed eating this little cutie (I'd like to add I didn't eat the whole cake!)

Outfit Of The Day: Hello Kitty, Goodbye Sister
Saying goodbye to my sister seemed to come around too quickly! She was only home for 47 hours, so it was a flying visit! Next time I see her though I will be visiting her which is always a fun trip and something I look forward to, even more so when London will be all Christmassy! My whole outfit consisted of old comfy favourites.

Nail Color: Black & Gold
I've been wanting to try the Sally Hansen salon effects for a while now but they're not easy to get hold of in the UK, so when we got a cheaper version in at work for just £2.99 I decided to get a pack and try it out on my days off! I just used it on one finger on each hand and paired it with OPI's Glitzerland! It lasted pretty well I had them on my nails for 7 days before they started to peel up! I'm hoping if these worked well that when I get my hands on a pair of the Sally Hansen ones they'll last even better!

Outfit Of The Day: Breaking Dawn Blues
There's no surprise they I headed out with my sister to catch the first showing of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One, on Friday morning. We were planning on catching the midnight showing but decided we couldn't wait around the city for that long with nothing to do, so instead we headed home for our own Twiathalon on Thursday evening and woke up early to head back. Unfortunately I woke up and was super sick on Friday morning but was determined not to miss the film, especially since my sister came home from university just to go and see it with me! I made it through the film (Edward & Jacob were a great distraction) and helped my sister pick up a few things before heading back home to the sofa! Luckily I felt so much better after a good nights sleep!
The best bit about the film, the amazing Manolo Blahnik shoes and the back (the front not so much) of her wedding dress was stunning.
Trying to put my jacket on before the camera took the picture and I didn't quite make it, and then the batteries died.... AGAIN... I swear that camera eats them!

Herman Cake
I'd like you all to meet Herman! Yes he is a cake, one that was given to make by my friend's mum and he is very yummy! I'd never heard of these cakes until a few weeks ago when my mum received one too! I think it is such a cute idea to make a cake that you can split up and pass on! I made mine with the ingredients suggested but you can add whatever you like! I hope the baby Herman's I passed on are growing well!
These are almost the same instructions I received with my cake(mine also said you should talk to your cake when stirring) but I took them from here
Herman is a friendship cake which you can’t buy, but you can give him away. He grows slowly but surely because of the yeast in him. It is usually 10 days before you can eat him.
Herman doesn’t have to be kept in the fridge and doesn’t require a lid – just covering him with a tea towel is sufficient. Herman grows at room temperature.
If you would like to spread a little friendship follow through instructions below and at end of 10 days you will have a cake to eat and four starter kits to pass on.
If you cannot wait to have your cake and eat it, go straight to day 10, but you will fore go the opportunity to pass on some friendship.
Day 1: Today Herman is given to you. Put him in a big bowl (At least 4pt capacity). Cover Herman loosely so he can breathe. A tea towel or loose lid is ideal.
Days 2 & 3: Stir Herman 2-3 times a day with a wooden spoon (do not use metal, and which you can leave in the bowl)
Day 4: Herman is hungry. Give him the following:-
200mls milk
200g self-raising flour
250g sugar
Days 5, 6, 7 & 8: Stir Herman
Day 9: Herman is hungry again. Give him the same ingredients you gave him on Day 4. Stir well then divide him into 5 equal parts. Give 4 baby Hermans away with a copy of this sheet. (or keep one back for yourself to grow and redistribute to other friends) Keep the 5th portion to bake.
Day 10: Herman is absolutely starving. He needs a holiday. He likes to go to a hot resort. The oven is his favourite. Pre-heat oven to 170ºC (150ºC fan-assisted oven) and grease a cake tin generously. Prepare him for his holiday using one of the following:-
1. Fruit cake Recipe:
150g self-raising flour,
100g raisins,
200mls oil,
half teaspoon of baking powder,
2 teaspoons cinnamon,
3 eggs, 2 grated apples,
Bake in loaf tin or 9” x 9“ cake tin

Outfit Of The Day: Leopard & Black
I pulled out one of my favourite scarves from last winter to go and do a bit of Christmas shopping with my mum! I did purchased quite a few things but I still don't feel anywhere near done, I just have no idea what to get for people this year! I was also hoping to upgrade to the the new iPhone 4s but the O2 store still didn't have any stock, fingers crossed they'll get some soon!

Cinnamon Rolls
When I saw Emily post this recipe for Cinnamon Rolls over at Cupcakes & Cashmere earlier this week I knew they'd be a great thing to bake for when my sister came home this week since we both love them as an unhealthy breakfast treat!
I changed the topping for just some regular icing since my sister can't have the one in the recipe! This was my first attempt at making them, but it won't be my last! Things I learnt for next time are,
1. Roll the dough tighter so the cimmon sugar doesn't escape so much and
2. Don't sprinkle the extra sugar over the top before baking because if you're not keeping a close eye (because you were too busy reading Breaking Dawn) then it might brown a little bit too much!
Oh well they were still super yummy and everyone enjoyed them!

My sister is home!!!! I haven't seen her since September, it's been too long, I really missed her! She's only home for two days but we're gonna make the most of it!
Starting off by catching a showing of Breaking Dawn! I finished my book just in time and we caught up on the past films too!
Everywhere has gone Twilight crazy, every magazine at the supermarket had one of the stars on the cover this week.
I did some Christmas shopping with my mum yesterday but my sister and I are planning to do a little bit more shopping after the film, I might just be about to make a shiny new purchase :)

Outfit Of The Day: Light As A Feather
Yay I only had to work two days this week and not having to wake up early on Wednesday morning was pure bliss! I spent most of the day at home but did run out to deliver some Herman cakes, and buy some baking ingredients to make some cinnamon rolls! I spent the rest of my day baking, writing cards, catching up on the new season of Grey's Anatomy and reading Breaking Dawn (I have just 3 more chapters to read).

Outfit Of The Day: Empowering Green
I loved this sweater when I first saw it in the H&M catalogue and when it went on sale for 50% off online (and I had a coupon) I decided it would be great for work and for just being lazy at home! I love the frill hem that is longer in the back! I thought my poppy matched pretty well with it too!
And this is my new little mini clutch/purse I found at a vintage Christmas market this past weekend! Perfect for throwing my cards and some change into when I'm just running to the shops!

Nail Color: A Freebie Nails - Inc Tate
It's that time of year again when Glamour Magazine are giving away a free bottle of Nails Inc polish with their December issue! For just £2 you can get yourself a free bottle of polish worth £11. Twilight's (not long until Breaking dawn is out!!!!!) Kristen Stewart is this months cover star and I love the colors of her dress! I'd quite like to find a polish that captures that metallic burgundy!
You even get to choose from two covers!
You can choose between Tate (Red), Victoria (Deep Red), Piccadilly Circus (Plum) and Basil Street (Beige)
I got Tate with my copy that I picked up in Tesco! It's darker than it appears in the bottle and has a super shiny glossy finish! I've been a fan of Nails Inc, ever since I had my one of my first manicures at one of their nail bars and Half Moon Street is still one of my favourites!I am debating whether to grab another copy so I can get another color!
