Outfit Of The Day: Home Sweet Home

I am home, boooo. I'm not happy that it is back to reality tomorrow! Oh well at least there's only one working day left and then it's the weekend! Sorry for looking a bit wind swept, I took these photos when I got home after a day of walking around London and a train ride home! This scarf, jacket and the necklaces have been attached to me for the whole trip! I had an fabulous time with my sister and Taylor Swift was AMAZING! I shall post some pictures from the concert next week when I get the good pictures (my camera is terrible) from my sister! Every time I visit my sister it makes me realise how much I miss her not being around at home, Luckily she'll be back in a week to spend a couple of week sat home over Easter!

Outfit Of The Day: Train Tracks

I am off to go and catch a train to visit my sister! The sun is out and I'm hoping it stays that way! While I love going to visit my sister it normally involves me having to carry whatever I pack around London for the day, so packing light is essential! You'll notice a few pieces in rotation over the next few days as I try to make my outfits from as few pieces as possible!

I decided I'd go for red nails this week since I haven't worn a red color in ages!! This OPI is one of my favourite reds. Spring is on the way and I'll start wearing more neutral colors, so Bright was the way forward for spending time with my sister!! I decided to put a coat of nuBAR 2010 over the top to give it that extra sparkle factor!

Outfit Of The Day: Pocahontas

Last night was a good night, today was a good day minus the slight hangover feeling! After a lay in, we all headed out for a cooked breakfast (although it was almost lunch time)! Then I headed home to have a nice lazy afternoon watching the Australian Grand Prix and a movie! When I got dressed this morning everyone said I looked like Pocahontas in my LF Dakota cardigan and I even got asked where my raccoon Meeko was lol! Sorry for the bad pictures today, the morning after the night before is never the best look!

I'm sooo excited for this coming week, but it's gonna be sooo busy! We've had some gorgeous sunshine this week but I've been at work, so I'm hoping to see some of it next week when I'm having 3 days off in the middle of the week to go and visit my sister! Tomorrow night I'm off out to celebrate ( well I'm not excited, because I'll miss here again lol) my friend leaving to go back to her job as a hairdresser and cruise ships! We haven't had a big night out with lots of us since New Year, time to PARTY!!!!! Woop woop!!


Then with my lovely hangover on Sunday I can watch the first Grand Prix of the season! I will be supporting the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team as always!

The  it's time to pack and head off to London on Tuesday! Now I've just got to decide what to wear on Saturday night and to take with my next week!

Forever 21 Purchases

I wish we had Forever 21 stores here, I would be in one everyday! We do now have an online F21 store in the UK now which makes shopping there a lot more conveinient, although they don't always have the same stock as the US site so I still place orders there too! These are the few pieces I picked up for spring recently!

 I loved this necklace the minute I set me eyes on it! I love long stone pendant necklaces and the faux leather cord was a nice change from a chain! Perfect to pair with all my neutrals and lace pieces from spring!

They have the most amazing selection of rings and these ones here and here caught my eye while placing this order!

I don't see the jacket online anymore but I needed a new black jacket that would see me into spring as my H&M one is a bit too wintery now! This blouse was top of my list as it sold out online last year when I wanted it! And finally I thought the this sweater would be perfect for this chilly summer nights to throw on over whatever I will be wearing! I'm loving crochet pieces right now!



Oufit Of The Day: Hall Pass

Last night I went to the Cinema with my guy friends to watch Hall Pass! It was hilarious in parts and it was some good light relief after work and from this horrible cold that I have brewing! During my lunch break I had to pop to the bank and of course it meant walking past some shops, which is dangerous! I picked up this coral shirt on sale in New Look, I wore last night, as well as a striped maxi dress for just £3! This is why I always go home normally in my lunch breaks to avoid spending ha ha!!

Outfit Of The Day: J'taime

The end of another weekend, they seem to go by so fast! A lazy Sunday, spent doing some grocery shopping and then an afternoon of watching films whilst curled up on the sofa! It was a rather chilly day after having the beautiful sun out yesterday! I have an exciting couple of weeks coming up with a cinema trip, a leaving party and a trip to visit my sister and see Taylor Swift at the O2.

It's only just over a week til I go and visit my sister, Woohoo! I'm so excited to see her it seems like ages since I've seen her this time!

With the help of Betty Crocker I made this Devil's Food Cake with Fudge frosting which I took into work with me during the week and it was big hit!

I posted out Suzy's jacket she won! I hope she receives it soon and enjoys it!

Yesterday I attended a Cake and Book Stall that had been organised by some of my friend's parent's to raise money for the Red Cross Aid in Japan. I went along and donated some cakes and also bought some yummy cupcakes and flapjack to take home with me! They raised over £800 in one morning! I hope you guys are all doing something to help! No matter how small it'll make a difference to all those people's lives who have been turned upside down, my thoughts are with them all.

I also picked up a guide book and map for Rome this week! It's less than 2 months until I go now!! I can't wait to start planning all the things to do whilst we're there!!


 

Outfit Of The Day: Stop and Smell the Roses

Spring is finally making an appearance! The sun was shinning all day yesterday and it was surprisingly warm! I did throw a light black jacket over this as I was out until the evening when it did turn slightly chilly. I love wearing florals in spring and summer and this top is beautifully light and flowy. I did end up changing my shoes as my toes were rather cold, I think I thought it was warmer than it actually was!

Red Nose Day 2011

Today is Red Nose Day for Comic Relief!! So we all wore something red to work! I forgot to take a picture of my outfit but I just had on a red shirt and necklace and these rings!

'Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK which strives to create a just world free from poverty'

Our boss even got all of us all these cute Red Nose gigglers, which laugh hysterically when you throw them.

And my friend put a Red Nose on my Facebook profile picture too! Did anyone else do anything for Comic Relief today??

Shopping Trip Purchases

When I went shopping with my mum this past weekend I wasn't planning on buying anythng, I was actually only taking a couple of items back. I went into H&M to search for something for someone else and ended up leaving with the treggings I wanted before but they didn't have my size in this color and this floral blouse that i'd seen but wasn't sure if it would suit me! Out of all the pieces I toook to the chnaging rooms this was the only one I fell in love with and my mum loved it too!

I picked a few pieces up in Primark, I know it's not the best place to shop but it's good for trends or pieces I won't get a ton of wear out of, and occasionaly I'll find a great deal! I got the toiletries bag for my trip to Rome as I needed a new one!

I also have a habit of picking stuff up for 'My House' not that I have my own one yet, but I already have decorating plans and I've started picking pieces up if I see them and know they'll be perfect like this metal mannequin and cute flower print.

Outfit Of The Day: Love Ring

I finished work early the other day and spent my little bit of free time running some errands and supermarket shopping! The tee and ring were two of the items I purchased when I went shopping last weekend! Both were on super sale and the ring was only £1. I thought maybe this tee was a bit too festive to throw on but it was on top of my new purchases pile and the first thing I grabbed, plus I think the print of the deer makes it less festive and I wanted to wear it now and not wait till next winter!

Today was a day of shopping and drinking mocha's with my mum! They finally had the leggings I wanted from H&M in my size and I picked up a cute floral blouse too. Apart from the scarf which I got from Urban Outfitters last week, everything else are old pieces I pulled out of my wardrobe! I <3 my Rebecca Minkoff matinee and flares will always top a good pair of skinny jeans for me. This tee I got back in 2008 from a line called Live in Love designed by Sam Droke but I don't think it's available anymore, I'd forgotten about this tee but I love what is written on the back

Outfit Of The Day: Let's Rock

I had to work this morning, booo. But it was only for 3 hours so when I got home this was my outfit I put together for an afternoon of being pretty lazy and visiting an old work friend who I haven't seen in a while since I started my new job! I've been trying to catch up on some of the sleep I didn't get last weekend but haven't been successful yet!!
